I’ve wanted to create this project for quite a while because it brings me back to what first made me fall in love with portraiture.
The quiet power of black and white.
Without color telling you where to look.
Without a busy background pulling attention.
Without styling becoming the story.
Just light, expression and the woman in front of me.
There is something about black-and-white portraiture that asks you to slow down. It pulls your eye to the things that matter most, the curve of a smile, the strength in someone’s gaze, the softness in a quiet moment, the truth of who she is.
That is the heart of The White Shirt Project.
A white shirt.
Beautiful light.
A B&W portrait that feels timeless, honest and deeply personal.
I know being photographed can feel vulnerable. So many women wait for the right time, the right confidence or the right season of life.
But I also believe some of the most meaningful portraits are created when we stop waiting and allow ourselves to be seen exactly where we are.
I’m opening space for 3 women for this limited project, and all portraits must be created by Saturday, June 20, 2026.
